Update 4/3/21, Dom Reo from Maryanne Remarchuk:
Dearest family and friends - I have been off FB for quite some time and am now seeing the outpouring of support, love and prayers for Dom and I during this critical time. We want you to know how much your cards, notes and thoughts have meant to us both. As you must know Dom suffered a severe health crisis at the end of January that left him paralyzed on his left side and sadly took his eyesight. That was followed by pneumonia, a pulmonary embolism and 2 gall bladder surgeries that left him weak and unable to progress with any level of therapy. It was also discovered he has a nerve impingement from a displaced lower vertebra that has caused other problems for him. He was in 6 facilities in 5 weeks. Thank God, I am happy to report that Dom is now stable, in a sub-acute rehab program and is moving his left leg and wiggling his left fingers. This is big considering all he's been thru. His sight has not returned but we are hopeful for at least partial recovery there. But rest assured, I continue to read all your cards to him and we both are very touched by them all. Your continued prayers and encouragement I know is, and will be, key to motivating him toward recovery. We have been together 18 years and have thru more than a few health hurdles and surmounted them all - this, however, is the most challenging. We need and rely on your love and support and appreciate if from the depths of our hearts. Thank you all and love to you and your families. And a very Blessed and Happy Easter to you and your families.
Update 3/27/21, Tom Hayes was able to visit Dom Reo at the Manor yesterday. Dom is aware the class of 66 has him in our prayers and he asked us to continue as he works to recover from his stroke.
Update as of 3/5/21, Dominic Reo is in the Van Rensselaer Manor Nursing Home and will continue his rehab after a two week quarantine. For cards of encouragement: Dominic Reo Van Rensselaer Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation 85 Bloomingrove Drive. Troy, NY 12180
Update as of 2/18/21, Dom has returned to Sunnyview Rehab after some surgeries in the hospital over the previous week.
Prayers please for Dominic Reo, fellow crusader and member of the class of 1967. Dom was hospitalized recently and could use some healing prayers to help him get on the road to recover. We all know the power of prayers, so please remember Dom and his family in your thoughts and prayers. 2/3/21
