Classmates, over the years I have posted many photo's from the church we attend while in Maui. Maria Lanakila Church was blessed to survive the LAHAINA FIRES and now they need some prayers facing the potential damage from tropical storm LALA.

Dear Parishioners,

The Governor declared a state of emergency for Hawaii ahead of Tropical Storm/ Hurricane Lala, so travel may be imprudent. Traveling for Mass could be unsafe or prohibited, placing one’s life, and the lives of others at risk. Bishop Michael Castori, SJ, has granted a dispensation for all those affected, so the obligation to attend Mass on Sunday, August 16, 2026, is not in force.

Dear Heavenly Father, we lift up our crusader friends to You today. You are the ultimate healer, the Physician of our souls and bodies. I ask that You lay Your healing hand upon them, removing every sickness and infirmity. Bring total restoration to there body, mind, and spirit. Grant the entire group strength to face this time with courage, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. May they feel Your presence and be comforted by Your love. In Jesus' name, Amen.
